How to Make Large Books Readable

Turn a giant book into something people will actually read

Do you have a family history book that no one in your family wants to read? Even I struggle with wanting to sit down and read a giant novel. Try spending just 15 minutes reading and mark any stories others might be interested in! Grab some post it notes and when you find a good story, label it with the topic. Then others can easily skim and find something they are interested in.

When you’re done marking the stories, consider sharing them in FamilySearch so your other family members can learn about those ancestors. It’s so nice to have small short stories that are easy to read and share!

Here is a quick tutorial for how to add stories to FamilySearch. Not quite sure what FamilySearch is? You can read more about why I recommend it and how it can help you here.
